Got a second play in recently with 8 ships on the board (King Put was in attendance as well). Good game, plenty to do, reminds me of Wooden Ships & Iron Men with less overhead.

$40 is as cheap as you'll see it. Don't know where MM got the copies, as Ares isn't keeping up with demand.

And they are GONE. There were 10 copies ten minutes ago. Fifty says a retailer cleaned them out for what was essentially the wholesaler price. I know two B&M retailers dying for starter packs to sell.

It's a good game and Slitherine/Matrix seems to rarely ever have enticing sale prices; I'd recommend you blow the $10 on it if you have any interest at all in a hex-based wargame on the iPad.

Isn't this just a more modern version of Panzer General ? I always thought that game was basically Axis and Allies on a computer and not very engrossing. If they ported some of their battalion level stuff like the Campaign series to the IPad I would be interested.

Yes, it is a newer implementation of Panzer General with a ton of in-app purchases. I bought it.

I have Slitherine's Battle Academy Demo and it's very good. Turn based. It took me a while to twig on to some of the information display, but I suppose that's true for any complex game. The only reason I haven't gotten back to Battle Academy is that I have a couple of long-term Vassal games going that I usually give priority to.

Both sites have some Sails of Glory ships for about 50% off. Twisting the knife that I missed the Core Set sale a few weeks back.

I threw together a Miniature Market order for some Krosmaster stuff but otherwise...Meh...

Looked over MM and CSI (MM's sale is much better IMO) and held out, nothing I really needed.

I go to Cardhaus and see they have some sleeves I needed on sale so they sucker me in, goddamnit.

I'm not even sure what the fuck I'm doing because Cypher looks like it may be shit (but it was $4!), Imperial Settlers looks good but I don't really need it. I already have Sheriff of Nottingham but it was $19.99! Suburbia I didn't really need either but it's talked about very fondly.

Fuck, I think I'm just going to save Concept and Sheriff of Nottingham to sell-off when Tabletop airs and they go out of print.
