I can't believe I'm willing to sell this masterpiece but it has sat dormant for too long. Everything is in great condition. The Codex is a fantastic book and worth reading even if you don't play the game.

How much fun can I have with just the base set? I mean, the correct answer is "none" because nobody will play it, but in a fictional world where I find someone who will--

You can have fun as long as you don't think about how much MORE fun you could be having! I think I actually started with just the base set. If I recall, I bought it from Josh Look, then played it once and determined that I really liked what was going on. Later that year at Gen Con or maybe Origins I happened upon the Master Set and immediately bought it because of course.

there's a lot with just the base set. The master set is just more. I think the base set is just "colonial" era maps, and the master set expands that into the ancient, modern, future eras, along with additional cards
