Big Pimpin': Fury of Dracula

Shellhead started a fun thread in May 2018, "Does Anybody Still Pimp Games?".
I had a few hobby projects in the studio, and I was itching' to procrastinate from my works on canvas.
So I put down the oils, and picked up the The Army Painter.
I finally pimped my copy of FFG's "Fury of Dracula" 3rd edition.
Disclaimer / Preamble: The FFG miniatures for "Fury of Dracula" are the worst miniatures I have ever laid hands upon. Small scale, soft details, distorted proportions, and weak ankles. Wiz Kids may make some quality miniatures for the 4th edition. But come on. Wiz Kids...
In March, I met Joe Ploch from Miniatures Market. He was selling Tiny Terrain at Adepticon. Inexpensive terrain with a lot of potential. I bought a handful of treasure chests for a future 'Wiz-War' pimp, and a cemetery landscape for a future 'Fury of Dracula' pimp. As many long time readers may know, Dracula is my spirit animal. I'll leave the wizards for another time.
My plan was simple. It was also daft. I wanted to mount the FoD miniatures onto a diorama. Cut and paste, right? Simple. But... The diorama has zero impact on game play. In fact, the plan will probably make it more difficult to store the components in the box. Daft...
Anyway, onward!
I bought a hole saw from Home Depot and got drilling.
Five holes later, I was ready to mount and roll out some green stuff.
Green stuff molded, and it's time to receive some figurines.
The moment of no return: cutting the minis from their base.
A little bit of glue, a little bit of green stuff, and a little bit of magical thinking - the minis are on the bases!
Airbrush in hand, I primed with a zenithal technique.
Then I went to Gen Con. I showed Joe my WIP, and he gave me encouragement to keep going. Meanwhile, I picked up a few more Tiny Terrain pieces for a future Blood Bowl display board.
I'll finish in a second post.

This week, I slapped on some paint with the luscious and lovely Army Painter paints and quickshade inks. My painting directive? Match color schemes to any printed game material. With the 3rd edition, I had a lot of muted colors in store.
My references:
Too many hours later, followed by some Anti-Shine Matt Varnish, I am done.
Fangs a lot for reading!

I wish I knew.
While writing the first thread, I could no longer upload any pictures. They only way I could circumvent the problem was to create a second thread.
If any administrator can consolidate - that would be awesome.

These look amazing!
I just painted my copy of Fury of Dracula, and I agree that the minis are crap. Really blobby faces, and mushy details. You got some great results though!

That's really great work! The only thing missing is a fog machine, a horror movie sound-track, and some simulated lightning.
