There is a positive review of it on Amazon:
When I first approached The Greek Seaman I'll admit I was a bit apprehensive, but soon I was lapping it up! In fact I loved it so much that I polished it off in an evening. Now my mission is to get all my friends to share my taste for The Greek Seaman. I think it's worth paying for!
That's pretty funny. Was this posted after the blog hubbub?

Never seen people get so uptight about being told to "fuck off" before.
One would also think would be authors (which most seemed to be) would be a bit more original in their postings, then just repeat the exact same point the last 100 posters did.
"That's not very professional..." no shit sherlock!

It doesn't get managed right and she gets a lukewarm review. Then she has a very "human", although not well thought out reaction. Smart? No. And the first group of 15 or so people who constructively pointed that out to her, l would have to say were helping her out.
But then the pile on and destructiveness of all these other people investing all of 20 seconds apiece to make her "pay" for a lifetime and shipwreck her dream as punishment? Wow.
It was a mistake on her part to react emotionally... but how many of us haven't made a similar mistake at some point? Applause to the people who stood against the grain and took a reasoned viewpoint... even though they themselves knew they would become open to getting pummeled by the mob as well.
That's courage.
Folks, this is what the "mob mentality" is like. And where is the courage in the "mob mentality"? First the author wasn't thinking.... but then add in about 600 people more.
Sheesh.

Yes, they can Bullwinkle... and she more then got that her comeuppance. But once it gets to be extreme "piling on" that's where good men/women with good sense should have a problem.

Agreed. If she didn't go all Anne Rice, she could have salvaged this. But no, she had to throw around the f-bomb twice, and be generally passive aggressive, thereby erasing any chance of sympathy or credibility she had.
