Their need for constant stimulation is worrying.

I had a big chat with Emily tonight on constant stimulation. She asked why she can’t have a tv screen in the back of the car like some other kid does. I told her that the fact that she spends so much time in the car looking out the window, thinking to herself, talking with me... all of this leads her to being a more patient and content person with her own space, in her own time. No fidgety-ness or anything like that.

I pointed out that the boy who has the tv screen also have parents that constantly give him things to distract him and are over attentive with him. Emily has noticed that boy has no patience ever and is always whining about everything (and rightfully so cuz it always gets him immediate action and reaction, so it works).

Anyway, I agree that constant stimulation isn’t good at all
