English is not my mother tongue so I tend to make this kind of mistakes.

Wait, is having bullshit IN your head better than having it ON? English sure is weird.birdman37 wrote: Coffee spit. The correct English would be "in my head".

ON is less common but probably better, inasmuch as having it in your head is more insidious and fairly widespread.
Your English is great, of course. Carry on.

As to the humour - because "in my head" is the more commonly used phrase, it immediately and effortlessly suggests the figurative sense. When I read "on my head", because it wasn't such a commonly-used saying, my mind immediately conjured an image of the literal sense, and hence, the coffee spit. I will heartily agree that if we're talking literally, I would much prefer to have bullshit ON my head than IN it.

My sincere apologies if I came across as condescending. Your command of English as a second language is fantastic. English is basically a language comprised of 40% rules, and 60% exceptions to those rules. It's worse than most Kickstarter game manuals, and that's saying something!Erik Twice wrote:

Ah don't worry, it did not!
Personally, the biggest problem with English is that words are not written the way they are spoken. The fact that you can even do "spelling bees" blows my mind. And Colonel. That also blows my mind. I haven't had much of an issue with exceptions in English, actually. Even the irregular verbs are actually "regular", in a sense.
By the way, El Grande uses an approximation of XIX century province divisions for its map, which is a bit weird. But, of course, it's a game, so it needs an approximation to work. The theme doesn't make sense so it doesn't matter, though.

Another crazy example of English is "Pacific Ocean." Note that each "c" is pronounced differently.
