That's AEG's next card crafting game. I just haven't been impressed with any of those efforts thus far unfortunately.

Forgotten Waters received a great deal of praise this year. Anyone play that yet? I have a copy I've yet to explore.

Huh. I've never played any "card crafting" games but I just read the description on BGG. Sounds... chintzy. I haven't played a ton of AEG's stuff, but I love War Chest and really enjoy Lovecraft Letter and Guildhall. I haven't gotten into most of their big series games, like Nightfall or Thunderstone. I played Smash Up once and was kind of lukewarm on it.

Ugh, card crafting sounds almost as awful as prince-pleasing.

You're more right than you know. You know deckbuilders? And how they're fun but putting them away is kind of a pain in the ass?

what if you also had to remove several semi-transparent cards from sleeves

Sounds great to me, honestly, though I get why this opinion is not shared. I like combo heavy, creative construction stuff and give absolutely no shits about setup time. But then stuff like Millenium Blades appeals to me conceptually too.
