Cosmic Encounter: While I'm probably most well known among boardgamers as one who loves heavy brainburners with industrial themes, the truth is that I tend to love two radically different kind of games and CE falls squarely into the other: Brash, fast, fun games. In the same way that Sid Meier's Civilization completements Robotron, Cosmic completements Steam in boardgame form.
Anyways, the gameplay is just fun. Know what your oponent holds is the base. But you have not one, but four opponents and each plays a radically different way so you need to first know how they play before you can even guess! Add to this that you don't even directly fight someone to gain (or give!) information and you have a really fun game. I love hidden info, what can I say.
Car Wars. This is probably the best game I have seen when it comes at storytelling. It doesn't have any tricks. None. It doesn't have flavour text. When you go and start playing it, it doesn't seem like you are doing much, you are just trying tomove your car, dodge, shoot and the right time...And before you know a duel has evolved out of each small step and it's awesome. Sure, it's clunky and checking the speed table makes it too slow but it's pretty unique.
Chaos in the Old World. One day a designer looked to all those eurogamers so keen on efficieny and thought, hum, what would happen if we mixed those with Ameritrash? And thus Chaos in the Old World is a game about slapping each other in the face as efficiently as possible.
Really, that's the cool thing of the game. It has direct attacks but it isn't a negotiation game, you slap a player because it's your best move to slap that player. Which leads to an incredibly interactive game that feels very different.
The assimetry is also very nice and I love learning how to play against each faction. Makes me want to play again and again. Really like this one.
Intrigue. This is a trading game where you trade trust. You must smile all the time, even when you are screwing someone. You must backstab someone in the back, and then on the face and keep a smile so he trusts you. You bleed but you say everything is okey because you actually love those fucking assholes with bigs wads of cash.
Age of Renaissance. It is weird to put this game here, given that I have only played it once, but I don't quite feel I should list 18XX or Magic as Ameritrash so here it comes. This game is all about the lenght it takes to play. Economics? Sure. Try to keep them going for several hours. Direct attacks? Why not make them 10 times more powerful, it's not like you don't have time to recover. I really want to play this one again.
I read like a pretentious asshole. Oh, well.
Feel free to comment on it, I would love to have your thoughts!

Talisman is a close one as well. Maybe if I had some of the expansions it would get on there.
